2005 Finalist's Biography

Chistina Naughton, USA

Christina Naughton began to study the piano when she was four. At age thirteen, she and her twin sister Michelle became the youngest students ever accepted to the Sergei Babayan International Piano Academy at the Cleveland Institute of Music. She has also studied with Alan Chow, Emilio del Rosario and Christopher Taylor.

She has performed with the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Ars Viva Orchestra of Chicago, the Park Ridge Symphony and Cleveland's Red Orchestra. In 2002, she won the Chicago Steinway Society's "Most Promising Pianist" Competition.

IN HER OWN WORDS...

"As performers, our mission is to delve into the depths of the composer's soul, and attempt to touch the souls of our present-day audiences with the hopes of mysteriously uniting us all."
