2005 Finalist's Biography
Hitomi Maeyama, Japan
Hitomi Maeyama was born in Yokohama, Japan in 1987. She is currently a student at Kitakamakure Senior High School. She is presently studying with Fumiko Eguchi and Yukiko Hibiya. Hitomi has participated in the Hamamatsu International Piano Academy in 2004, and in master classes in France and Japan. She has been a prizewinner in the Kanagawa Piano Competition and performed in concert with the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra. She was also a prizewinner in the 1996 PTNA Piano Competitions where he won the 2004 First Prize.IN HER OWN WORDS...
