Jackie Jaekyung Yoo has won nearly thirty prizes at international piano competitions, including the “Chopin Roma” (1st Prize), Bösendorfer International Piano Competition (2nd Prize and the special award for the most outstanding performance of a virtuoso work), and Jaén International Piano Competition (3rd Prize).

She has appeared as soloist with orchestras including the Manchester Camerata, Orquestra Simfonica de les Balears “Ciutat de Palma”, and the Symphony Orchestra of Croatian Radio and Television.

Jackie has performed worldwide and has appeared in several festivals including the International Gümüslük Classical Music Festival in Turkey and the Bebersee Festival in Germany. At Bebersee, she stepped in at the last minute to perform Liszt’s Grand Duo with violinist Oscar Bohórquez.

Jackie is also a member of Piano Duo, Yoo & Kim, winners of the Dranoff International Two Piano Competition and of several other international duo competitions.

In 2010, the duo made a concert appearance at the United Nations of Geneva. Constantly sought-after in concert venues around the world, the duo most recently performed at Sommets-Musicaux Gstaad in Switzerland.

After having studied at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien (Hannover, Germany) with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Matti Raekallio and Vladimir Krainev, Jackie currently resides in Manchester, England, where she is enrolled at Royal Northern College of Music.
